Checked Out Niku X in DTLA 🥩🦞

Celebrated my birthday with a visit to Niku X—an A5 Wagyu and seafood buffet located on the 2nd floor of the InterContinental Hotel in DTLA. The ambiance is nice, but at 110 per person, it wasn’t particularly impressive (the 145 upgrade isn’t necessary). The Wagyu was quite fatty—got full after just a few pieces, though the meat quality was decent. Lobster, crab legs, and sashimi were fairly fresh, but no oysters available. 🍣 Saw some reviews saying they had stomach issues after eating here, but we were totally fine. After the meal, we went up to the 70th-floor lobby of the InterContinental to enjoy the downtown night view—too bad Spire 73 was closed due to strong winds, so we couldn’t grab a drink up there 😄.
