Chitwan | Nepal's Most Pristine Jungle Safari
🩵This is Chitwan, a natural animal reserve in the southern plains of Nepal, and one of the few undisturbed patches of paradise in the Himalayan foothills between India and Nepal. In the Nepali language, "CHIT" means heart, and "WAN" means jungle, so CHITWAN translates to the "Heart of the Jungle." 🩵The journey through Chitwan begins with a dugout canoe ride on the Rapti River. The canoes are made from a single kapok tree, carrying about eight to nine people per boat. At the bow and stern of each boat, ✨there are pole handlers who remind us to keep quiet so as not to disturb the animals in the water and on the banks. The animals are leisurely busy with their own lives. 🩵Chitwan is listed as a World Natural Heritage site, home to the last group of one-horned rhinos in Asia and the final sanctuary for Bengal tigers. I have come from afar to meet the true owners of this land. #Travel #Park #Forest #Animals #NatureSharing #DailyLife#Chitwan#Chitwan National Park#Nepal#trip diary#wild animal#Chitwan life#Kathmandu
