Christmas in Louisville 🎄✨

Starting to get excited for Christmas! Our first stop heading south is Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky. D1 Arrived a bit late, around 7 PM, and went straight to Claudia Sanders Dinner House 🍗, about 30 minutes from downtown. This place has a cool story: After Colonel Sanders sold KFC, he wasn’t happy with how the new owners simplified the recipes (all to cut costs 😤). So he opened this restaurant near his home using his wife Claudia’s name and image, keeping the original KFC flavor alive. We ordered the Claudia’s Chicken Special (original recipe) and the server recommended the catfish 🐟. The restaurant had a nice vibe — the dining area was covered with photos of champion racehorses 🏇, and there was an exhibition upstairs. The food wasn’t mind-blowing, but it was pretty good! D2 Spent the day exploring downtown Louisville 🏙️, which is famous for its bourbon whiskey, horse racing, and the Louisville Slugger baseball bats! Visited the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory ⚾, strolled through pretty streets, popped into a liquor store (even if you don’t drink, you can try bourbon-filled chocolates 🍫😉), and browsed some cute art shops. Also walked along the Ohio River — calm and a little melancholic, quietly whispering stories of time gone by. PS: Louisville is in the Eastern Time Zone. Next stop: Mammoth Cave National Park 🦇⛰️, about 1.5 hours away… and we’ll be switching to Central Time! #Louisville #TravelKY 🚗💨
