🎄 Christmas Trip to California Disneyland | Day 1 Guide 🚗🏨
We kicked off our holiday getaway with a scenic drive from the Bay Area to Los Angeles. Leaving around 10 AM in our Tesla, the weather was moody—cloudy skies and stretches of heavy rain—but with Autopilot doing most of the work, the journey felt relaxed and easy. 🚙⚡ We stopped at two planned Supercharger locations along the way, letting the kids stretch their legs and explore nearby spots like the BravoLand Kettleman shopping area—great for a quick walk and even some photos! Lunch was a simple McDonald’s stop to keep things moving. 🍔 By 7:15 PM, we arrived at our hotel: Residence Inn by Marriott at Anaheim Resort. We chose it for the suite layout—complete with a fridge, microwave, and stovetop—handy for storing snacks or reheating leftovers. The included breakfast is a huge plus, letting us fuel up before heading straight into the parks. 🍳🏰 📍 Pro tip: The hotel is across from a Target—perfect for picking up anything you forgot (like slippers!). Always wear socks or slippers in hotel rooms to avoid any unwanted surprises. For dinner, we tried Ma’s House, a Halal spot perfect for a rainy, chilly evening. Their beef noodle soup—rich, bone-broth-based—was warm and comforting. The kids enjoyed the hand-pulled noodles, too. It hit the spot, though honestly, Bay Area Chinese food has set a pretty high bar these days! 🍜 On the way back, we stumbled upon the stunning Christ Cathedral. Even as non-churchgoers, we were drawn in by its modern, grand architecture. The Crean Tower glowed impressively at night, and since it was Christmas Eve, we stepped inside to listen to a carol and soak in the serene atmosphere. It felt like a meaningful, peaceful moment—and a nice chance to share a bit of cultural insight with my son. ⛪✨ Wishing everyone a cozy, joyful holiday season filled with warmth, relaxation, and time with loved ones.
