🌲 Cincinnati Diaries | Hocking Hills Getaway with Our Pup! 🐶💼

This summer, we took our corgi Nugget to Hocking Hills and stayed at one of those adorable tiny Getaway cabins — and it was everything we hoped for! 🏡✨ Each cabin is like a little minimalist hideout with everything you need: a comfy bed, a hot shower, a small kitchenette, and huge windows looking right into the woods 🌳🪟. Outside, there’s a picnic table, chairs, and a fire pit — perfect for cool autumn nights or cozy winter marshmallow roasting! 🔥🍂 🐾 Dog-Friendly Vibes: Yes, pups are welcome! There’s a small extra fee, but they provide a dog bowl, towels for muddy paws, and even treats! Nugget felt right at home 🥰. 📍 Location & Tips: The Getaway cabin we stayed at is located at: 38490 Todd Rd, Nelsonville, OH 45764 It’s about a 25-minute drive to Hocking Hills State Park 🚗💨. We left Cincinnati in the morning, did a sunrise hike at Old Man’s Cave, had lunch in Logan, and then checked into the cabin around 3 PM — timing was perfect! ⛰️🥪 Inside the cabin, you’ll find a handy guide with recommended trails, dog-friendly restaurants (some even offer guest discounts!), and local gems. We took Nugget on a quiet trail near the cabin and later explored a nearby antique mall 🕰️☕. 🍷 Bonus Spot: Don’t miss Hocking Hills Winery — not only do they have great wine, but they also have a resident orange cat who naps in the grass! 🐈☀️ 🎒 Corgi Backpack Life: We even bought a special backpack carrier for Nugget for longer trails — best decision ever!
