✨ Cincinnati Food Diary | Colette — OTR’s New French Gem 🇫🇷

Just tried Colette, the freshly opened French bistro in Over-the-Rhine, and my taste buds are still celebrating! 🥂 Here’s a delicious breakdown of what we ordered: 1️⃣ Parisian Carrot Salad 🥕 A refreshing and elegant starter—shaved carrots tossed in a light citrus vinaigrette with fresh herbs and a hint of mustard. Simple yet so Parisian! 2️⃣ Raviole du Dauphiné 🍝 This is their star dish for a reason! House-made ravioli filled with creamy cheese and herbs, served in a delicate broth. Every bite was warm, comforting, and full of flavor. 3️⃣ Icelandic Cod 🐟👌🏻 Perfectly seared and flaky, served over a bed of seasonal vegetables with a lemon-butter sauce. Light, elegant, and cooked just right. 4️⃣ Duck Confit 🦆 Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside—this classic French dish did not disappoint! Served with garlicky potatoes and a sweet-and-savory reduction. Absolutely heavenly. 5️⃣ Choux au Craquelin 🍮 A dessert worth returning for! Creamy profiterole-style pastry with a crunchy caramelized top and filled with vanilla-infused cream. We may or may not have ordered two… 😉 The ambiance was chic yet cozy—dim lighting, vintage mirrors, and soft jazz playing in the background. It felt like a little slice of Paris right in the heart of Cincinnati 🥖🍷.
