Hofbrauhaus Located across the river in Newport, this spot is always bustling! The pork knuckle is hearty, and their potato salad is my absolute favorite—seriously, I wish I could steal the recipe! 🥔❤️ El Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant Generous portions and plenty of options. One of the more authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. 🌮 Taste of Belgium - The Banks A local chain, but the chicken & waffles here are top-notch. Quality varies by location, and I think The Banks serves the best version. 🧇🍗 Nicola’s My personal favorite restaurant in Cincinnati! Excellent service and consistently delicious dishes—never disappoints. 🍝🤩 Sotto Very popular online, but in my opinion, it’s just alright. Their pasta is fresh, but the flavor isn’t as mind-blowing as some claim. Also, reservations are hard to get! 🍷 Saigon Subs and Rolls After trying pho all over the area, I think theirs is the best! Affordable and delicious, but note: they’re only open on weekday lunches. 🍜💯 Maplewood Kitchen and Bar A fantastic brunch spot—always busy with long lines. There’s also Wild Eggs downtown, but I prefer Maplewood. 🥞☕ Eli’s BBQ In my opinion, the best ribs in the region! Their dry rub seems pretty secret. The cornbread is also amazing. Two locations, but Findley Market is more convenient. 🍖🔥 Mita’s Their signature paella was a letdown—too salty and the octopus was fishy. Some tapas were decent, but I don’t eat ceviche, so I can’t fully judge. 🥘 Jeff Ruby’s Often considered the best local steakhouse, but I found the steak just okay—even the chain Morton’s (rated 4 stars locally) impressed me more. Surprisingly, their salads are incredible—so good you’d crave them even if you’re not a salad person! 🥩🥗 The Capital Grille It’s a chain, so not usually my top recommendation, but the Oakley Square location stood out for its service and quality—definitely above average! 🍷✨ The Eagle Some say it’s the best fried chicken in town. Worth a try, though not mind-blowing for me.
