š Cincinnati Food Review: Grand Oriental
š Location: Not specified (but you can find it in Cincinnati!) As a Chinese food enthusiast, I had high hopes for Grand Orientalābut unfortunately, it fell short. Hereās a detailed breakdown of my experience: š½ļø Dinner Disappointments Clam Dish: The clams were clearly frozen and stir-fried without much care. They lacked freshness and that oceanic burst of flavor youād expect. āļøš Seafood Tofu Pot: This was the biggest letdown. The tofu had turned sourāa sign of spoilageāand it completely ruined the dish. I had to send it back. 𤢠Dim Sum at Dinner: Note to future visitorsātheir dim sum is not freshly made for dinner. Itās leftover from lunch service, so itās stale, dry, and definitely not worth ordering. š„š āļø š Who Might Still Consider It? If youāre craving Chinese food but: Canāt handle spicy dishes š¶ļøš« Donāt love noodles or pho šā Just want a quick, familiar taste without high expectations⦠Then maybe Grand Oriental could work as a last resort. But honestly, there are better options in Cincinnati. š The Only Saving Graces Beef Chow Fun (Dry-Fried Rice Noodles): This was decent! The noodles were wok-fried with good texture, and the beef was tender. Char Siu (BBQ Pork): Sweet, glossy, and fairly tastyāprobably the best thing we tried. š§ Final Thoughts Grand Oriental feels like a place thatās cutting cornersāusing frozen ingredients, serving leftover dim sum, and failing to check food freshness. The tofu incident was especially alarming. šØ For authentic, fresh Chinese food or dim sum in Cincinnati, Iād recommend looking elsewhere. This one goes into my "Not Returning" list. š #CincinnatiFood #ChineseCuisine #DimSum #FoodReview #GrandOriental #SkipThis #FoodieWarning #CincinnatiEats š„¢š
