A Cuban restaurant located across the river in Newport — just take Exit 5 from Route 471 🛣️, only about 15 minutes drive from UC! If you sit by the window, you can enjoy views of the river and the Cincinnati downtown skyline 🌆. My go-to order is the Pollo Asado 🍗 — it comes with grilled chicken, rice, bell peppers, some veggies, and two… mysterious (and kinda bland) things 😆. They even have salsa lessons 💃! Anyone can join the class in the middle of the restaurant—so fun! Before or after your meal, you can stroll around On the Levee 🚶‍♀️. Since last year’s renovation, there are now shops selling shoes, plants, clothes, plus ice cream and drink spots 🍦👗🌿.
