Clean Again with a Northeastern Auntie’s Bath Scrubbing

**LA Store Visit | WI Spa ** This time in LA to visit our “baicai” (a nickname), we both thought of getting a bath scrubbing 🤣, so we just made a phone call and booked one. This bathhouse is located in LA’s Koreatown. It’s a Korean-owned business, but the aunties who do the scrubbing are all Northeastern Chinese, and they all speak Korean and some basic English (For Northeasterners, Korean might just be considered a local dialect 😂, probably because they are Korean Chinese. Hahaha). You have no idea how precious it is for a Northeasterner to find a place that offers scrubbing! 😭😭😭 I don’t even want to talk to people who haven’t experienced it. 🤪 The overall environment can’t compare with that of my hometown in Northeast China, but if they offer scrubbing, what more could I ask for! The upstairs relaxation area has saunas and Korean cuisine. If you want to rest, you can head upstairs and enjoy those. I actually visited this place three years ago but didn’t know they offered scrubbing services, let alone that the scrubbers were Northeastern aunties. So, I missed out the first time! And back then, my English wasn’t great, so I didn’t know how to tell the front desk that I wanted a scrubbing. It wasn’t until a Northeastern auntie came out and said, “We do offer scrubbing here, ya dan er (a playful term)” 😭. I almost cried with relief, but since they only take appointments, I couldn’t get one that time. But I booked it this time! Here’s a tip for those who need it: Make an appointment a day or two in advance. Just call the number on Google Maps and say, “Can I make an appointment for body scrubbing?” (I’m writing this because a few years ago, I had no idea how to say “scrubbing” in English 😅. Maybe I can help others avoid the same confusion.) Many people might refuse scrubbing because they feel shy or uncomfortable with strangers touching their bodies. But there’s really no need to be afraid. The Northeastern aunties are super热情and professional, and they are especially good at taking care of first-timers’ feelings. After the scrubbing, your skin will be incredibly smooth, like it’s been polished, which is an effect that body scrubs and shower gels just can’t achieve. 😍 Trust me! Give it a try! It’s amazing! The Northeastern Chinese bath culture and environment are really getting better and better! Bathing culture is the highest form of hospitality we offer to guests. I hope anyone visiting Northeast China will give it a try! And I hope our Northeastern bath culture will sweep the globe! 💪💪💪 #LALife #LAStoreVisit #LosAngelesWISpa
