Cloudforest Cafe: A Warm Cup of Hot Chocolate in Winter ☕️

Winter is the season for hot drinks. I visited Cloudforest Cafe in Portland, having heard about their special hot chocolate. Although the shop also serves coffee, ice cream, and pastries, such cold weather called for a cup of their hot chocolate! ❄️ We ordered two cups. I got a large Pure Dark, which was bitter—I didn’t mind that. However, the aftertaste was somewhat weak and lacked depth. At $9, it didn’t feel worth the price. 💸 We wanted to order a Sweetie for the child, but it was sold out. The staff kindly made a custom drink with dark chocolate and vanilla syrup. Surprisingly, it turned out delicious! The sweetness of vanilla blended perfectly with the bitterness of dark chocolate, and the child enjoyed it very much. 😊 The cafe is located at 935 SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland, with a cozy atmosphere. Although the Pure Dark didn’t impress me as expected, the specially crafted drink by the staff was a delightful surprise.
