Cobham | A Visit to Painshill Before Autumn Ends 🍂

The weekend trip we've been planning for so long, the sun we've been waiting for so eagerly, finally, after the due week is over, we have the chance to explore a world captured in paintings 🖼️. This oil painting garden, which has existed since the 18th century, Is not only a pure land to relax the body and mind, But also has been rated by Nikolaus Pevsner as "the greatest contribution to British visual arts." "No Pain at Painshill, only healing" Painshill, painsheal, no pains, but heal 🪵 Painsheal means a place of healing. Overlooking the earth from the hill, gazing at the Surpentine bridge from the Gothic Temple, time seems to solidify, leaving only the sound of the wind and the tranquility within. I desire nothing more than to be soaked in sunlight. 🚄 Transportation For those starting from Southampton, take the train to Cobham & Stoke D'Abernon, and it's about a 30-minute walk to the park. 🚌 Weekends see no bus service, so on weekdays, you can choose to take bus C1/C3. 🎫 Tickets Buy tickets online in advance for a discount. For students, the concession without donation plus the handling fee is £10.5. You can book a slot, and it's important to note that the opening hours are 10:00-16:00, with the last entry at 3 pm. Staff will remind you to return by 3.45 pm. 🗺️ Route For first-time visitors, it's recommended to choose the 🔴 red route, which allows you to visit all historical sites. If you have enough time, you can choose to go with the red line and return with the 🔵 blue line. The whole trip plus photo stops will take about 3.5 hours. Must-visit spots include Crystal Grotto, The Ruined Abbey, Gothic Tower, Temple of Bacchus... 🍽️ The Ivy Cobham Garden Highly recommend this very local restaurant with a warm service attitude. We had afternoon tea and desserts there, and their cream tea is really delicious. The scones are so good that you'll miss them after just one taste 🫖 #MyAutumn #SouthamptonDayTrip #LondonDayTrip #Let'sStrollInThePark #ASceneryToHealYourSoul #UKTravel #TravelTips #InternationalStudents #ShareTheNaturalBeauty #Painshill
