Cologne Zoo | Flamingos are Super Beautiful and Adorable! 🦩💖

Transportation: Take the U18 subway line from the city center and get off at Zoo/Flora. Right next to the zoo is the botanical garden, plus there’s a sightseeing cable car that crosses the Rhine River. If you love nature, it’s definitely worth a visit! On a nice day, spending an entire day here is no problem. 🌞🌷 Tickets: Zoo tickets are €23 for adults and €17 for students, and you can easily spend about 4 hours exploring. The ticket includes entry to both the zoo and the aquarium. It’s most convenient to buy tickets online, and you can simply scan the QR code at the entrance. The botanical garden is free to wander around. 🌿 The Rhine cable car operates from April to October every year, open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, with the last ride at 5:45 PM. From the zoo, you can choose to take a one-way trip or a round trip. A one-way ticket for adults is €5, and a round trip is €9. You can also buy a combo ticket for the zoo, aquarium, and round trip on the cable car at the zoo ticket office, which costs €27.5 for adults. 🎟️ Route: Once you enter, start on the right and follow the signs to make a large loop in a counter-clockwise direction. Best Animals to Photograph: 📸 Meerkats: The habitat is super spacious, and meerkats aren’t afraid of people at all. They’re very active during the day and come quite close, making them easy to photograph! Raccoons 🦝: They may not be super active, but they pop their heads out of the treehouse holes, which is really funny! Elephants 🐘: If you’re lucky enough to find the elephant family by the pond, they’ll be easy to capture on camera without being too far away. Sea Lions 🦭: A lively group of sea lions with a strong desire to perform! They are very active during the day, showing off their tricks—it’s so much fun to watch! Flamingos 🦩: Near the exit, you can capture beautiful close-up shots of flamingos. They’re absolutely stunning, and candid shots turn out gorgeous! #Cologne #CologneZoo #Germany #LifeInGermany #Zoo #Flamingos #Photography #AnimalPhotography
