Compared to the Kamogawa River, I prefer the Uji River 🌊
🌊Uji River — Unlike the Kamogawa, the Uji River has a tranquil small-town vibe. The sunset casts a warm glow on the riverside houses, creating a striking contrast with the cool blue sky during the twilight hour. 🌿🍵 It feels like stepping into a Japanese anime world. Listening to the flowing water under the bridge, I could daydream forever (navigate to Uji Bridge). Uji is perfect for a solo city walk. After getting off at the station, take a stroll around the town. 🌊 There are no towering skyscrapers here, just charming single-family homes with small courtyards, perhaps with some pine trees planted. It's so relaxing! If you get tired, pop into a shop and chill with a cup of matcha. 🍵 🌿🍵 Sanzen-in Temple 🌊Transportation: From Kyoto Station, take the subway and transfer to a bus. It takes about 1.20 hours, but the journey is not complicated. The temple's garden is small but surprisingly exquisite. However, it can be quite crowded with Chinese tourists. 🌿🍵 I highly recommend not spending too much time taking photos at the first popular spot. #Uji #HalfDayInUji #Sanzenin 🌇
