🔥 Compiled with Blood, Sweat, and Tears ✨ Alaska Fairbanks Ultimate Restaurant Red & Black List Just wrapped up a Christmas Northern Lights chaser trip in Alaska 😍. During my five days in Fairbanks, I ate my way through all kinds of spots 🍽️. As a serious foodie, I’m striking while the iron’s hot to share this tourist’s take on the best and worst places to eat 👇. Red List 👍 Aurora Crepes & Peking Duck The crepes taste like jianbing (Chinese savory pancakes) 🥞, with flavors like cumin lamb 🌯. Perfect to grab before a tour and take on the road as lunch 🚗🍱. You can order by phone 📞, adjust the spice level 🌶️, and they’re still tasty even when cold ❄️. A pleasant little surprise! ✨ Seoul Gate Restaurant It was packed when we went, so service was slow 🐌… not sure if it’s better on regular days. But the food is pretty authentic and tasty! Army stew is small but flavorful 🍲, and the tofu soup, seafood pancake, and black bean noodles were all well-liked 😋. ~$30+ per person for a solid meal 💸. Pho House A classic Vietnamese spot 🍜. The coconut cooler is refreshing 🥥, the pho is light and comforting, and appetizers like coconut shrimp are yummy 🍤. Only downside: the place smells strongly of oil/fryer smoke 🤧. Pump House If you forget to make a reservation, try walking in around 4 PM 🕓—the bar area often has space, and there are round tables too 🍻. Dinner starts at 5 PM, but if you arrive right at 5, you’ll definitely wait in line 🚶♀️🚶. Arriving earlier lets you enjoy a drink and play some pool 🎱. The Sangria Summer (now renamed Pineapple 🍷) is light and perfect for girls 👧. The food isn’t mind-blowing but totally edible 😊. Lin‘s Asian Bistro An unexpected gem! The stir-fries have that wok hei (breath of the wok) energy 🔥. Most dishes are great 👍. I’ve heard service can be bad sometimes, but we were the first table at lunch and had no issues! Thai House Chose this one among several highly-rated Thai spots 🥘. Quick service, good flavors, and super affordable 💰! But if you don’t like sweet notes, be warned—many dishes lean sweet 🍯. Black List 💣 Turtle Club Expensive and not good! 🚫 Even though some posts hype it up, the table next to us literally pointed at their plate and said the crab legs were bad 🦀😬. Two crab legs for $100+ 💸… we noped out. Heard the steak isn’t great either 🥩, and dishes tend to be salty. The only thing we enjoyed was the free salad lol 🥗. No idea about the drinks 🍹, but the food? Hard pass 🤦♀️. Jung‘s Korean Restaurant The stone pot bibimbap smelled amazing at first… until the crab stew totally bombed 🦀💥. The crab was spoiled 🤢. And the owner refused to take responsibility—blamed the supplier 🛒, wouldn’t refund, only offered a small discount 🙅♀️. Bye 👋. P.S. I heard Fushimi is also good 🍣, but we didn’t get to try it. Just putting it out there for reference! 👌 #Fairbanks#FairbanksFood#AlaskaEats#TravelFoodie#NorthernLightsTrip#FoodReview#AlaskaTravel
