Cozy Hot-Stone Rice Bowls Perfect for Fall & Winter š²
Thereās a Reason Thereās a Lineāļø Iāve always been curious about this trendy āhot-stone rice bowlā thingāfinally got to try it! Turns out, itās pretty similar to our clay pot rice, but the Korean version is more refined, served with side dishes. After you finish the rice, you pour barley tea into the hot stone pot to make a toasty scorched-rice tea! Even dining alone feels like a ceremony. šµāØ š±: Damsot š: 3377 Wilshire Blvd #112, Los Angeles, CA 90010 š°: Around $20 per person š æļø: Validated parking downstairs for $5 The staff was super friendly! Following the serverās recommendation, we ordered the signature dishes: ⢠Steak Hot-Stone Rice Bowl ⢠Eel Hot-Stone Rice Bowl ⢠Spicy Eggplant Rice Bowl ⢠Sukiyaki ⢠Salmon Sashimi Personal thoughts: The spicy eggplant rice bowl was just okayāmaybe itās the eggplant here in the U.S., but it lacked flavor and was too mushy. But the steak and eel rice bowls were amazing! High-quality ingredients: thick-cut, tender beef and rich, not-too-sweet eel. They even serve pickled radish on the side to cut the richnessāthoughtful! Each rice bowl comes with banchan and a salad (the salad was fresh and slightly sweetāloved it!). The salmon sashimi was a surpriseāthick cuts, super fresh and fatty, and only $26 for the portion. Way more worth it than a typical sushi spot! The sukiyaki had fresh ingredients, but the broth was a bit sweet and lightāgreat for those eating clean. š„¢ The vibe is totally Korean-drama-cozyālike the kind of place the heroine rushes to after work for a warm meal and deep talks with her bestie. š¬ā¤ļø ā ļø We went at 5 PM, and there was already a line forming when we left. On weekends, try to avoid peak dining hours! Have you tried hot-stone rice bowls? Whatās your favorite combo?
