Crabbing at Pier 69 in Seattle

🌟It’s the ultimate relaxed and enjoyable summer activity, a great way to spend a weekend. In just an hour, we caught a dozen Red Rock Crabs. After tossing back the smaller ones, we took home the six plumpest crabs. Whether steamed or made into braised or spicy crab, it’s absolutely delicious. 🌟Location: The floating bridge at Pier 69, right next to the Seattle Aquarium. If you’re staying in SLU/DT, it’s within walking distance. The waiting time flies by as you can chat with friends. But the special thing about this place is… there are always E people tourists passing by who will start a conversation with you or cheer you on when you’re pulling up the net. 🌟Time: Every Sunday and Monday. It’s best to crab during high/low tide for the maximum catch. 🌟Tools: A shellfish license (can be obtained directly from the official website), the simplest crab trap, and some bait (like small yellow croaker and chicken legs). 🌟Process: Arrive at the floating bridge, put in the bait, drop the crab trap, wait for 15 minutes, pull up the net, and collect the crabs. Both times I went, we caught something in about 90% of our nets. It’s suitable for all ages, even kindergarten kids can do it. I don’t want to catch too many, so I set the net three times, and we can head home in just an hour. #Seattle #SpicyCrab #Weekend #AlwaysNewWaysToEnjoySummer #Crabbing
