Crispy Pork Knuckle in Berlin 🍖
| Traditional German Cuisine Recommendation A happy weekend is incomplete without a great dinner. On Sunday evening, I went to a traditional German restaurant with a classmate. The ambiance was fantastic, and the waitstaff were dressed in traditional Bavarian attire, which was really interesting. The menu is available via QR code and even has Chinese translations. They also have a Christmas menu. We ordered four dishes for three people. 1️⃣ Roast Pork Knuckle The roast pork knuckle was outstanding. The skin was crispy and tender, unlike many other places where the skin is too hard to chew. The pork skin here was like eating cracklings—absolutely amazing. I highly recommend trying it. 2️⃣ Braised Beef Cheek in Sauce The sauce was very rich. Although it didn't look like much, it was incredibly satisfying. The beef was very flavorful, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Dipping them in the beef sauce made it even better. 3️⃣ Pan-fried White Sausages Sausages are pretty common everywhere, but having them with a beer in a restaurant really made me understand why Germans love this combination. It's truly a great pairing as a drinking snack. 4️⃣ Drinks: Signature Beer Their beer deserves special mention. I've had many beers, but their draft beer was perfect for my taste. It had a dense foam, a refreshing taste, and a strong malt aroma. Even girls can easily enjoy it. The alcohol content increases as you drink, so take it slow. I started off drinking quickly and ended up with a red face. 💰 Cost: Four dishes and three beers for three people came to 88 euros (not including tip). 📕 Restaurant Name: Restaurant Maximilians Berlin 📍 Address: Friedrichstraße 185-190, 10117 Berlin (Reservations are recommended.) #GermanStudentLife #BerlinLife #PorkKnuckle #GermanRoastPork #BerlinCuisine #RestaurantReview #GermanFood #BerlinRestaurantRecommendation
