Cross-Canada Adventure — Stop #12: Regina 😑
Days 24 & 25 Congrats, Regina—you win the award for "Worst Experience of This Trip" 🏆. As a provincial capital, you’d expect something, but nope. Even your sad sibling Saskatoon was better. ❌ Why Regina Disappointed 1. Boring AF "Attractions": A tiny RCMP Heritage Centre (the police car simulator was kinda fun, but if you’ve played Euro Truck Simulator, you already know the pain). Free Provincial Museum: Didn’t bother—Canadian museums all feel the same. (Also, how do they maintain it with $0 entry fees? 🧐) 2. Dirty Water Every other Canadian river I’ve seen (Assiniboine, Saskatchewan, Bow) was clear. Wascana Creek? A murky, stagnant ditch 🤢. Bonus: The water breeds MOSQUITOES LIKE IT’S THEIR JOB. 3. Mosquito Capital of Canada Thought leaving the river would help. NOPE. Got eaten alive near the Legislature (10+ bites in 20 mins). Even my Airbnb’s tiny backyard pond was a mosquito factory. How do locals survive in shorts?! 🦟💀 4. Worst Asian Food Ever "Newtown" Chinese Restaurant: Empty at dinner. Red flag. Ordered 3 dishes → waited 40 mins → was told "Chinese food is hard to make" …in a Chinese restaurant. The food? Depression on a plate. "4.6-star" Japanese Place: Zero Japanese staff. Zero authenticity. Sushi tasted like regret. Gave up and cooked instant noodles at the Airbnb. ✨ Only Silver Lining The Airbnb was nice—so I just stayed inside and mourned my life choices. Final Verdict: Regina, you’re not for travelers. Maybe not even for locals. 💀 Next Stop: Somewhere—anywhere—else. #ReginaSucks #CanadianTravelFail #MosquitoHell #BadChineseFood #WhyReginaWhy #StickToSaskatoon
