Düsseldorf 🎠 | Essen 🏭 | Dortmund ⚽️ - My West Germany Adventure!

Just came back to Düsseldorf and fell in love all over again! This time, I: • Ate my way through the city – finally tried Himmel un Ääd (blood sausage + mashed potatoes 🥔) and Reibekuchen (potato pancakes!) at the Easter Market 🐣 • Rode wild carnival rides 🎢 (after years in Germany, I finally braved the XXL Frisbee... and got so dizzy I almost lost my currywurst 😵‍💫) Then off to Essen for that industrial chic vibe: • Zollverein Coal Mine was epic – those rust-red towers against blue skies? 📸 Chef's kiss • Red Dot Design Museum had me geeking out over Chinese-designed gadgets (so proud! 🇨🇳) • Stumbled upon "Rösterei" café near the mine – their vanilla latte healed my rollercoaster trauma ☕️✨ Quick Dortmund stop ⚽️: • Basically just hugged friends and inhaled a Bratwurst near Signal Iduna Stadium (that yellow wall tho! 💛) Why West Germany rocks: Düsseldorf = Foodie paradise + Rhine River glam Essen = Industrial history meets hip museums Dortmund = Football fever & cozy Kneipen (pubs) Pro Tips: • Get the VRR day ticket (covers all 3 cities!) • Essen’s industrial sites need 3+ hours – wear comfy shoes! • Dortmund’s Christmas market >> (next trip goal!) #Essen #NRWTravel #RuhrPunk #DüsseldorfFoodie #IndustrialTourism ⚙️
