Daikaku-ji Temple
The cherry blossoms at Daikaku-ji Temple in spring are also worth seeing. ๐ธ ๐๐ธ On the last day in Japan, I spent some free time in Kyoto. Having visited during the cherry blossom season several times, I decided to explore some less-known spots. ๐๐ธ In the northeastern part of Arashiyama, there's Daikaku-ji Temple, which used to be the Saga Imperial Villa. This season, hundreds of cherry trees are in full bloom here, but it's not well-known among Chinese tourists. ๐๐ธ There's not much to see at Daikaku-ji Temple itself, but the adjacent large pond, included in the combined ticket, is lined with cherry trees along its banks, exuding a very Eastern sense of quiet beauty. It takes over an hour to walk around and take photos, and I didn't encounter a single Chinese tourist. ๐๐ธ I was able to sit quietly on the steps, daydream, and capture the serene beauty in my photos. Just a few steps from Daikaku-ji Temple is Ryลryลซ-ji Temple. It was my first visit, and there wasn't much to see inside. However, the tofu hot pot restaurant called Chikusen caught my attention. ๐๐ธ Everyone entering was an elderly Japanese woman in a kimonoโI was the only Chinese man there. #JapanCherryBlossoms #DaikakujiCherryBlossoms #Chikusen ๐๐
