Dallas: A Global Must-Try ๐ฝ๏ธ
๐ Dakota's Steakhouse ๐ 600 N Akard St, Dallas, TX 75201 Once the site of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, this historic building was later converted into a restaurant. When you visit, youโll take a glass-topped elevator from the street level down 18 feet underground to begin your culinary journey. The underground terrace is considered one of the most romantic dining spots in the city. A 39-year-old steakhouseโhow could it not be good? ๐ The pre-meal bread was so good I ate two pieces. The plain-looking pretzel had a meaty aroma mixed with a hint of caramel. Freshly baked and so hot that I could hardly hold it, I had to use a knife to cut it in half while it was still steaming. I couldnโt wait to dip it into a big dollop of thick sea salt butter and savor it. ๐ The greensalad, topped with goat cheese, dried cherries, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and honey-glazed walnuts, had a captivating amber candy flavor. ๐ The 38oz tomahawk steak was like a โking of dishes,โ truly dry-aged for 28 days. It was tender, juicy, and the layer of fat that melted in your mouth was simply empowering. ๐ The dreamlike sweet roasted purple cabbage, mixed with honey and bacon bits and charcoal-grilled, was so delicious that I blamed the cold winter, the crispy bacon, the sweet honey, and the hard work of fitness. I blamed the whole world. ๐ The olive oil hot cake was incredible! It was like a double-dose olive oil vanilla pound cake, not thinly sliced, drizzled with thick pear juice and caramel crunch. With each spoonful, steam rose, and the light coating of vanilla ice cream was a perfect addition. It was heavenly. In the end, I was so full that I was screaming and โcomplainingโ in delight. Perfect for date nights, family dinners, business meetings, and any formal or informal occasions.
