Dallas: Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q🍦
If you’re in Dallas, do not miss their pistachio cake. The smooth and rich pistachio gelato, paired with a bit of raspberry jam and rose sponge cake, is something I still dream about back in Boston. 🍖 Rudy’s "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q 🍍The Texas BBQ that someone had been craving—we went straight there after landing. Compared to other Texas BBQ I’ve had, this place is more suited to Chinese palates. The seasoning is spot-on, and the smoky flavor isn’t overpowering. It genuinely surprised me! 🍒This time, I also visited Houston and ate at Ming Ji. I could go there multiple times. Last time, I ordered seafood porridge, raw marinated dishes, and a platter of braised meats. This time, I had pig stomach hot pot, and nothing was disappointing. I’d go back to Houston just for their food! 🍄The newly opened Sichuan restaurant in Houston, Jin Chuan Li, is also great with authentic flavors. And for French pastries, Magnol French Baking—though their canelés aren’t the best, their other desserts and croissants are excellent, matching up well with Boston’s French pastry shops! After writing this, I can finally make peace with the tears I shed in Dallas. #100StoreVisits #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasFood #DallasTravel
