Dallas:Mercat Bistro
⭐We were attracted by the pictures of the cured meat stewed rice pot posted on Xiaohongshu! We ended up ordering the cured meat stewed rice pot, Taizong Boiling Fish, and ice powder. The boiling fish was very flavorful, but the fish meat was marinated, so friends with lighter tastes might find it a bit salty. 🍷The cured meat stewed rice pot was really fragrant. We thought it would be too salty to eat with the boiling fish, but the rice itself was quite light in flavor, which was perfect with heavy-flavored dishes! Highly recommend their ice powder, it's the best I've had in the United States (I live in a very rural area with not many good Chinese restaurants). The restaurant is decorated like those in China, with beautiful private rooms. Friends who need to entertain guests might consider this place. 📍 Mercat Bistro 🍃The next morning, we went downtown for a French brunch. The restaurant has a great ambiance, stylish decor, and excellent service. My friend ordered French toast, which was sweet but a bit too rich for a whole serving; I ordered an omelet, which seemed to have a herb inside that tasted somewhere between cilantro and parsley, I couldn't quite place it, and I didn't particularly like it, but the dipping sauce was okay. I recommend their crispy potato cakes, which are fragrant and crispy, and can be ordered separately. #Dallas #DallasFood #Travel #StudyAbroadLife
