Dallas | 🇯🇵 Half-Day Trip: Cafe Hana ☕️ + Edoko

📍 1030 W John Carpenter Fwy, Irving Both of these places are located in the same plaza. Cafe Hana closes at 4:00 PM, and Edoko Omakase opens at 4:30 PM. They’re owned by the same person, which is why their operating hours fit together so perfectly (we found out because the hostess at Edoko was the same lady who used to work at Cafe Hana). We went to Cafe Hana first for lunch and spent the afternoon there studying, then went to the nearby LA Fitness to kill some time while waiting for Edoko to open. ☕️Cafe Hana mainly serves Japanese-style sando sandwiches. They have typical flavors like fruit sando, Katsu (fried pork cutlet) sando, and tamago (egg) sando. We ordered the ham & tamago sando, mentaiko pasta, and also got a 🍓 fruit sando to take home for breakfast the next day. For drinks, they have hojicha (roasted green tea) lattes, which were quite delicious. 🍣Edoko has a menu that’s hard to go wrong with! Overall, it’s a bit more creative with its Japanese cuisine, not the typical sushi place. My favorite dish was their spicy tuna on crispy rice. It felt like the best crispy rice I’ve ever had—it’s not hard, but has a really nice, crunchy texture. #JapaneseCuisine #RestaurantReview #LifeInNorthAmerica #Dallas #FoodAndFun #WeekendAdventures
