Dallas | French Cuisine at Toulouse in Legacy West
On Friday noon, when I heard that it was going to rain over the weekend, I knew that was just another excuse to indulge in some delicious food. It had been a while since I last visited Toulouse, the French restaurant in Legacy West, and I was craving their confit duck leg. I couldnāt miss this opportunity, so I headed there for my third visit. Duck Confit: The cover photo has to be their confit duck leg. Itās still the same amazing duck leg with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy interior. It has the flavor of roasted duck fat, but the duckās fat is not greasy at all and just melts in your mouth.𤩠The dish is served with pumpkin puree underneath. The subtle sweetness of the pumpkin complements the duck perfectly, making each bite incredibly delicious. š„§ Oysters: For the appetizer, I ordered oysters from Atlanta. They were not fishy or salty, and I enjoyed them so much that I ordered another half - dozen after finishing the first. 𦪠Mussels MariniĆØre: The classic French mussels in white wine and garlic sauce were as good as ever. Each shell was filled with just the right amount of meat. The garlic sauce had plenty of lemon juice, which perfectly balanced the buttery richness. Very well - done.š Escargot: The baked snails were just as expectedānothing extraordinary but also not disappointing. Itās a dish thatās pretty consistent wherever you go. š Beef Bourguignon: The beef was perfectly tender and marbled, just right for cutting with a knife and enjoying every bite. The mashed potatoes underneath were smooth and creamy, while the side dishes included baby carrots, mushrooms, bacon bits, and onions. Each ingredient had its own texture, making the dish anything but boring. It was like a dance for the taste buds with the rich sauce. š½ļø #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasFood #DallasExplore
