Dallas | Ichigoh Ramen Lounge
Our road trip ended in Dallas. The last time I visited Tatsu for dinner, the chef recommended Ichigoh Ramen, so I decided to meet up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while there for dinner. 🍜 Dried Noodle Soy Sauce Ramen: The combination of sardine and chicken broth is not greasy at all. The noodles, which are soaked in the soup, remain chewy. The ramen already comes with pork chashu, but I added chicken breast chashu. Eating big chunks of meat is so satisfying. Both the pork and chicken chashu are very flavorful. The pork chashu is crispy on the outside, as if it’s been fried rather than just torched. 🍜 March Limited Fried Chicken Cutlet Ramen: Instead of chicken breast, they use more juicy chicken thigh meat for the cutlet. It’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, which is much better than using chicken breast. 🥗 Avocado Arugula Salad: The addition of bonito flakes gives it a slightly salty taste. Thanks to the sesame wasabi dressing, the salad is fragrant yet still refreshing. 🍆 Steamed Eggplant with Blueberry Miso Sauce: I tried this dish out of curiosity because of the sauce, but it’s a bit salty. Most importantly, the flavor only stays on the surface of the eggplant and doesn’t fully penetrate it. I wouldn’t recommend it. #FoodieSummerMeow #Ramen #CarbsMakeMeHappy #JapaneseRamen #DallasFoodie
