With the holidays just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to gather with friends and family over great food. One of my go-to spots in Dallas is Sixty Vines — a popular New American restaurant known for its wine-on-tap concept and fresh, seasonally inspired dishes. After many visits, here’s my detailed breakdown of what to order (and what to skip). 🍽️ APPETIZERS Crispy Zucchini – 4/5 Lightly fried zucchini, crispy outside and tender inside. Served with a spicy vinaigrette — tasty but not mind-blowing. Truffle Vinegar Fries – 5/5 ⭐ Crispy layered fries with a noticeable truffle aroma. Perfectly fried and highly addictive — my top pick! Santa Maria Tri Tip – 3/5 Slow-grilled beef tri-tip with charred flavor and herb salsa. Some pieces were a bit tough for an appetizer. Albondigas – 4/5 Spanish-style meatballs in a herbed tomato sauce — savory and great with wine. Grilled Golden Beets – 1/5 The earthy flavor of beets combined with goat cheese was a bit too strong for my taste — not recommended. 🍕 PIZZAS Fig & Prosciutto – 4/5 Sweet figs, salty prosciutto, white sauce, honey, and arugula — a well-balanced sweet-and-savory combo. Spicy Sausage – 3/5 Tomato-based sauce with homemade sausage and double cheese — decent spice but nothing extraordinary. Mushroom – 4/5 Rich blend of mushrooms with cashew cream sauce — earthy, creamy, and satisfying. 🥩 MAIN COURSES Pork Chop – 4/5 Thick, well-seared pork chop served with carrot and savory vegetable purée — classic and reliable. Wood Grilled Bavette Steak – 5/5 ⭐ Wood-fired steak with amazing char flavor, served with roasted potatoes and mushrooms — the star of the menu! Atlantic Salmon – 4/5 Pan-seared salmon with Brussels sprouts and smoked paprika-tomato sauce — fresh and flavorful. Rainbow Trout – 3/5 Tender trout with lentil stew and coconut curry — pleasant but not memorable. Pan Roasted Chicken – 3/5 Slightly dry chicken served with chickpeas and marinated peppers — okay but not a must-order. Rigatoni – 4/5 Tube pasta with roasted eggplant, tomato, basil, and spinach — a light, satisfying vegetarian option. 🍰 DESSERTS Basque Cheesecake – 3/5 Creamy but not exceptional — a decent finish. Affogato – 5/5 ⭐ Chocolate cake with ice cream and espresso — bitter-sweet perfection. Don’t miss this! Citrus Cake – 4/5 Moist and lightly citrusy — a refreshing choice.
