Dallas | The Most Festive Holiday Bar: Tipsy Elf 🎄🍸
The most wonderful time of the year is here — the Holiday Season! ✨ Last weekend, I caught up with a college friend over dinner, and we decided to extend the night at a bar. We ended up at Casa Blanca, and to our delight, their holiday pop-up — Tipsy Elf — was already fully set up and glowing with festive charm! 🏮 Spacious & Themed to Perfection Compared to holiday bars I’ve visited in Austin, this one in Dallas feels much more expansive 😲. It features four distinct themed rooms — each decked out with unique decor and vibes. I personally loved the classic holiday setup (perfect for photos!), though I skipped snapping pics in the Texas and Mexican-themed areas — maybe next time! My college friend (a white guy, lol) ended up playing photographer for the night — I made him take shots from every angle. Pretty sure he was low-key annoyed, but hey, that’s what friends are for, right? 😂 🍹 Holiday Drinks & Vibe I ordered the Frosey Cheeks cocktail — super tasty and Insta-worthy ❄️, but definitely on the stronger side. After a few sips, I passed the rest to my poor friend… he really took one for the team 😅 🕢 Pro Tip: We went around 7:30 pm and got in easily, but it starts getting packed later — be prepared to queue if you go after 9! 🎇 A Little Life Update I haven’t posted much lately — I traveled back to China, then returned to a super busy period at work 🏃♀️. My project went through a lock-down phase, and I’ve been knee-deep in decks and presentations. I’ve also been working closely with the dev team — honestly, I’ve low-key turned into a TPM (Technical Program Manager) these days! But you know what? I’m not complaining. I’ve learned so much, delivered real impact, and even got approached by another team recently — which led to my manager checking in to see if I was interested in moving 😬 ⏰ New Routine, New Me? This year flew by! One big change: we’re now back in the office 5 days a week. I had to shift my workout schedule from after-work to 6:30 AM, and surprisingly — it stuck! Waking up at 5:40 AM and sleeping by 9:30 PM has become my new normal. As someone who’s always on the go, I’ve settled into this steady rhythm, and it feels good. I’m still really enjoying my role — every day brings new challenges. After work, I love wandering around the city, exploring, and unwinding. 🏌️♀️ Golf Update I found a new golf coach, but my performance is still… inconsistent 🥺 I need to put in more practice time — goal for next year! ✈️ What’s Next I’m actually writing this on a flight to LA — so excited to see my girls! 🥳 I’ve also planned a big trip from year-end into early next year… though my visa still hasn’t come through (hoping it arrives soon!). 🎉 Wrapping Up So much has changed this year — I’m about to hit my one-year mark at my new job. Maybe I’ll write a full reflection soon… but for now — #DallasFun #DallasKids #ChristmasLights #DiscountDeals #TianyuLanternFestival
