Dallas | There's a Lotus Pond Here! 🪷

I had heard that this place has lotus flowers in the spring, even yellow ones. Checking the route on Google Maps, it's much closer than Weatherford. I had been to Weatherford two years ago in August. With the scorching Texas sun, there were hardly any lotus flowers left there—just cracked mud and withered lotus leaves. This time, I seized the opportunity and headed straight to this lotus pond, just an hour away from my home. šŸŽˆAddress: Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, 9601 Fossil Ridge Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76135 šŸŽ« $6 According to information provided by netizens, there are three spots where you can see lotus flowers: 1ļøāƒ£ Marsh Boardwalk This boardwalk has been newly renovated and reopened in April of this year. You can see a large area of lotus flowers just by walking a short distance from the entrance. There's a pavilion at the lotus viewing area, so you won't get sunburned. However, the boardwalk is above the lotus flowers, so although you're surrounded by them, you're a bit far away. I took all my photos here. 2ļøāƒ£ On the way from the Marsh Boardwalk to Greer Pavilion, there's a riverside parking lot along the Riverbottom Trail (in front of and behind the visitor center). From the trail entrance of the parking lot, if you walk along the river for a few steps, you'll see a small patch of lotus flowers in the middle of the river, close to the riverbank. You should be able to take group photos or close-ups here. 3ļøāƒ£ At the start of Greer Trail, I heard that there are lotus flowers by the river, but I didn't see any today. Maybe I just didn't find the right spot. Of course, you can also ask the staff at the visitor center for the best lotus viewing locations. If you have a camera, be sure to bring it! This is definitely worth a visit among the wild lotus flowers in the Dallas area. If you haven't been to Weatherford, you can come here early on a weekend. Remember to protect yourself from mosquitoes. #DallasLife #AroundDallas #FamilyFunInDallas #Dallas
