Dallas | When Will Nan Hot Pot Finally Open? I’m Craving Ice Cream 🍦

➕The photo is from Nan Hot Pot in Seattle two years ago. As someone with a super light Jiangsu-Zhejiang palate who can't handle spicy food at all, I won't comment on Chongqing hot pot—it's just not my thing. But I have to say, the nine-grid platter looks really good, and there are some unique ingredients for hot pot that you can't find elsewhere, like pig kidneys and chicken feet. It would be great if they had a non-spicy option.😂 The dessert ice cream at Nan Hot Pot is what I’m most excited about!! It’s just too beautiful and delicious. It’s actually Bingsu, a type of shaved ice, and there are lots of flavors to choose from. The Magnum mango slush is especially good—the texture is super smooth, and the popping boba is the best I’ve ever had (even though I usually don’t like popping boba). I really hope I can just go to Nan Hot Pot for the ice cream, but I don’t know if the owner will allow that. The only downside is that after eating hot pot and a big bowl of ice cream (my husband and a male friend were with me, and they basically let me eat all the ice cream😂), I had to go straight to the restroom... So I suggest not eating a whole bowl of ice cream right after hot pot—it’s not good for your stomach.
