DALLAS · 2-Day Travel Guide 🐂
Texas is truly perfect for road trips 🚗—though I don’t have a driver’s license, I still had an amazing solo adventure using Lyft and Uber! Everything was smooth and convenient. I’ve split my trip into two parts: 🏙️ 1️⃣ DALLAS DOWNTOWN All the landmarks and museums are here — perfect for a full day of city walk. Every spot is within walking distance! 👌🏻 First Stop: John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza A moving tribute to JFK — a must for history or mystery lovers. 🚶🏻 Second Stop: Giant Eyeball A iconic Dallas landmark that everyone stops to photograph. 👁️ 🚶🏻🚶🏻 Third Stop: Thanksgiving Square A stunning spiral chapel (unfortunately closed when I went), but the surrounding park and plaza are still worth visiting! ⛪💖 🚶🏻🚶🏻🚶🏻 Fourth Stop: Dallas Museum of Art A hidden gem 💎 — I was surprised by Dallas’s artistic vibe! The museum is huge, with breathtaking photography, paintings, pottery, and more. 🚶🏻🚶🏻🚶🏻🚶🏻 Fifth Stop: Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum ⚠️ Not for everyone. Very text-heavy and academic — great for students or those interested in social sciences. Not really for kids. The exhibit layout is theater-style 🎭, which is pretty unique! 🎫 Ticket: $12 USD student (I didn’t have my ID — the staff said, “I believe you’re a student!” 😆) | $19 USD adult 🤠 2️⃣ Stockyards Station Come see the cowboys and Texas longhorns! This town is seriously cool. I took an Uber directly from DFW Airport and made it just in time for the 11:30 AM longhorn cattle drive (there's another at 4:00 PM). The town is small and easy to explore quickly. I finished Part 1 + Part 2 in one day, but you can definitely take it slower! I spent the next two days relaxing in downtown, catching up on work at the hotel — very chill. 😌 #Dallas #Texas #SoloTravel #CityWalk #CowboyCulture
