📍Dallas - OKC - Kansas City | 4 Days, 3 Nights

🚗Starting from OKC | Passing through Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve | Arriving in Kansas City in the evening 📌The second day's itinerary is a drive from OKC to Kansas City. We made a stop at a lesser-known national park along the way: Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. 🌾 🕒It's about a 3-hour drive from OKC. You can easily find the main entrance with a quick search on the GPS. There is a main trail here, with boundless tallgrass prairie on both sides. Walking in feels like stepping into the most pristine natural landscape of the American Midwest. ⚠️Note: Dogs are not allowed on the trail. There are real bison herds inside! We encountered groups of bison along the way. They were close but not afraid of people. As long as you don't get too close, they will leave you alone. 🌥We had overcast skies with a gentle breeze that day, and the temperature was just perfect for walking the trail. You can turn back halfway through; two hours should be enough. 🚗After exiting the trail, there is a very picturesque spot less than a 5-minute drive away: Fox Creek School, a 100-year-old schoolhouse. Sometimes the door is open. 📸If you catch the sunset! Fox Creek School + golden prairie + twilight, it's worth stopping for a while. 🚙Continue driving north to Kansas City after that. It's about a 2-hour drive. If you start at 9 a.m., you should arrive in the city around 4 p.m. #Dallas #OklahomaCity #OKC #KansasCity #Sunset #StreetPhotography
