Dallas Carbone
π€€I heard that Carbone in New York is really hard to get a reservation at, so I took the opportunity to dine here in Dallas. There are plenty of seats, so you donβt have to worry about not getting a table. Pre-Dinner Bread: The bread was exceptionally delicious and flavorful. The salumi was fresh and tasty, with a subtle saltiness that really hit the spot. Beef Carpaccio: Delicious, with no hint of beefy aftertaste. The tuna sauce was also perfectly portioned. Spicy Rigatoni: A must-try dish! It was really flavorful with a great al dente texture. The sauce was particularly delicious. Branzino: It was just average. I had intended to order Dover sole but made a mistake, but it was still edible. Pre-Dinner Bread:πππππ Delicious to the point of madness, making me drool just thinking about it. Most Italian fine dining places serve hard bread, either ciabatta or grissini, which can make your jaws sore from chewing. Carboneβs focaccia, with its soft and oily dough paired with Italian herbs, was an unexpectedly delightful surprise! Octopus Leg in Oil:πππππ The skin was roasted to a crispy finish, drizzled with olive oil and topped with fried, crispy garlic slices. Paired with tangy zucchini and bell peppers, it was a refreshing and delightful appetizer. The portion was a bit small, with only three small segments of octopus leg. Mixed Grilled Clams:πππππ A three-flavor clam platter, served with uni, basil crisp, and breadcrumbs. Iβm not sure if some ingredients werenβt fresh, but the ones I tasted were quite fishy, though my friend thought they were fine. Overall, the flavors were not particularly unique, making it a pretty average dish. #ItalianCuisine #FoodieDaily #Dallas #DallasFood #USA #USATravel #Carbone #ItalianFood #WesternCuisine
