Dallas Dining | Gemma
🔆Gemma – A New American Restaurant Recommended by Michelin The fig scones served before the meal were incredibly impressive; I couldn't stop at just two! 🔆Appetizers: STUFFED ARTICHOKE HEARTS: Perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. Highly recommended! SPICY SALMON TARTARE and MUSSELS ESCABECHE: A bit fishy, so I wouldn't recommend these. 🔆Main Courses: PACCHERI Mushroom Pasta: The mushrooms are very flavorful and not too salty. A great choice! DUCK FRITES: The duck breast is juicy but a bit fatty, which can be overwhelming if you eat too much. BEEF CHEEK BOURGUIGNON: It has a Chinese-style braised meat feel, very tender and flavorful. Braised Oxtail (Special of the Day): Similar in taste to beef cheek, also very tender and well-seasoned. 😌Not Recommended: CHICKEN FRITES: The chicken breast is quite dry. SCALLOPS: Only four pieces per serving, which feels a bit skimpy. ✨Desserts: AMARETTO TIRAMISU: Not as good as the ones I make at home. AFFOGATO: Vanilla ice cream with espresso—pretty average. ✨Cocktails: BASIL BEAUTY: Very refreshing with a light alcohol taste. THE ALPINIST: A rose-flavored bourbon with rosemary, rich and smooth. Perfect for a Friday night! The menu at Gemma changes frequently, and it’s definitely a restaurant I’d want to visit again. #BeautifulFood #DallasCuisine #DallasLife #Dallas #DallasWeekend
