I discovered a new spot in Legacy West: Darna Mediterranean Market. It seems like they just started operating last month. This place specializes in a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including Turkish coffee☕️, French desserts🍮, Greek souvlaki, Italian and Turkish bread🍞, European cheeses🧀️, Moroccan spices, and Lebanese stuffed vegetables🥗, among others... When I looked at the menu, I was quite confused and didn't know what to order. The server was extremely patient and recommended a few dishes: 1⃣️ Beef Filet Shish Kebab Four large pieces of grilled beef, marinated just right, cooked to medium-well with a tender center. The rice underneath was perfectly cooked, with each grain distinct. The overall seasoning was on the lighter side, which I personally found very tasty! 2⃣️ Tahini Hummus Their pita bread and toasted bread were perfect with this dip! The olives and cucumbers in the middle added a nice texture to the hummus. 3⃣️ Moroccan Lamb Sausage Flatbread This was like a thick pizza🍕. For two people, half a portion would be enough. I thought the meat on top was a bit sparse; you might only get a piece of meat every two or three bites. The lamb didn't have a strong lamb flavor. It's worth trying if you're curious. 4⃣️ Turkish Latte☕️ I really couldn't get used to the taste. I think it's just me; it has a very unique flavor. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot. The ambiance and vibe here are truly great, very laid-back! I saw a few people just ordering a cup of coffee and some snacks to work here.
