Dallas Dining Review | Aesthetic and Flavor-Packed Thai Restaurant
Another long-standing restaurant in Dallas, Malai Kitchen, serves authentic Thai cuisine despite its name. Overall, the value for money is decent here. Although they have locations in both Dallas and Uptown, the prices aren't exorbitant. 1️⃣ Malai Favorite Sampler This is a must-order! You get to try four different appetizers, all of which are quite good. I particularly loved the meat patties and fried spring rolls—the marination was spot-on and full of flavor. Pairing them with a little ginger sauce and fresh lettuce was heavenly. 2️⃣ Lemongrass Mussels The flavor was a bit lighter than the last time I tried it, but it still tasted great! The subtle lemongrass and basil notes really complemented the mussels well. 3️⃣ Iron Pot Green Curry Chicken Why was everything so bland this time!? It didn't taste like the green curry I had before; it seemed flavorless and watery. ❌ 4️⃣ Pad See Ew Delicious! The wok hei (the smoky flavor from stir-frying) was strong, and the noodles were slightly thicker than those in beef chow mein. They had a great texture. 5️⃣ Drunken Noodle This tasted very similar to the Pad See Ew, just with different vegetables. It was also quite tasty. 6️⃣ Panang Curry Bowl with Beef Tenderloin This one was good! The curry was rich and flavorful, with a nice creamy texture. It’s definitely better when the curry has a stronger taste. 7️⃣ Spicy Basil Chicken I’m not sure why this one needed to be mixed by myself, but the rice was perfectly cooked and very fragrant. The dish had a strong wok hei and was made with Thai jasmine rice. 🍚 #DallasLife #DallasExploration #DallasFood #DallasThaiCuisine #EatingDrinkingFunInDallas
