Dallas Downtown (DT) Day Trip

🤠Brunch: We chose Terry Black’s Barbecue on Main Street. It looks like a small portion, but it’s really filling. One pound of meat plus two sides is more than enough. The beef ribs and brisket are incredibly tender and flavorful. The restaurant has its own parking lot in front, but try to arrive before 12 p.m., as it gets packed during lunchtime with limited parking spots. After brunch, take a stroll around the neighborhood. There are many graffiti walls and quaint little shops on both sides of the street. Continued to Downtown (DT): After driving about a mile to downtown, you can park and explore all the attractions on foot. šŸ“ Thanks-Giving Square: This is a small park. I walked around and didn’t find much at first, so I left. Later, I discovered that the white spiral building is a chapel that you can enter. I got some stunning photos of the beautiful stained-glass ceiling when no one was around. šŸ“ Giant Eyeball: This is probably a Dallas landmark. You can only take photos from outside the fence. The main entrance is crowded and fenced off, but if you walk to the side near the restaurant entrance, it’s much quieter. šŸ“ Dallas Museum of Art: What a great museum! And it’s free! The museum has four floors, organized by world regions. If you take your time, you can easily spend half a day here. šŸ“ AT&T Discovery District: Is this even a tourist spot? It’s just a large plaza under a commercial building. But it’s a nice place to cool off in the air conditioning. In May, Dallas already needs air conditioning after just ten minutes outside and half an hour inside. #Dallas #DayTrip #TravelBits #TravelDiary #CityWalk #DallasTravel
