Dallas Explore | Malai Kitchen
I’ve heard about this place for quite a while, and today I finally got the chance to visit while shopping nearby. Malai Kitchen Address: [Address not provided in the original text] Pre - meal Treat: They started us off with a complimentary serving of sticky rice and an unknown dipping sauce. The sticky rice was delicious, with a fragrant aroma from the leaves it was wrapped in. The dipping sauce was lightly spicy with a subtle flavor. ✨ Thai Fried Chicken Wings - $12: Four large whole chicken wings, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauce was a bit salty, but fried chicken is best enjoyed with a bold flavor. ✨ Beef Green Curry - $16: Green curry is my favorite type of curry. Their beef is slow - cooked, tender brisket with plenty of vegetables. It’s served in a small iron pot, and the portion is generous. The rice is fragrant Thai jasmine rice, which pairs well with the dish. ✨ Pad Kra Pao Pork (Stir - Fried Pork with Holy Basil): This was the dish I was most excited about. To be honest, it didn’t quite live up to my previous experiences. I felt the basil was under - used, and the seasoning was a bit too salty. ✨ Mango Sticky Rice: This was the highlight of the meal. I expected a typical serving of mango sticky rice with coconut milk on a plate, but theirs was served in a coconut shell. The coconut milk was warm, and the sticky rice was not only traditionally steamed but also included crispy fried glutinous rice. The combination of chewy and crunchy textures was delightful. #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasFood #InternationalStudentEats #FoodieCheck - in #StudentExplore
