Dallas Family Outing | Zootopia in Real Life

Starting from Dallas, it’s a 2+ hour drive to this place where you can drive in and feed the animals! 🐾 The animals are free-range. You can feed them right from your car. Kids can stick their noses to the windows, watching and feeding the animals. It’s super safe and exciting. There are so many animals that they sometimes block the road. If you don’t feed them, they won’t let you pass. They even chase the car for food. 😂 🍽️ Feeding Tips | My Personal Experience: 🐦 Ostriches are real food-snatching bullies!! Their beaks are sharp and fast. They can snatch away a whole bag of feed in one bite.⚠️ → If an ostrich gets close, close the window in a second, without hesitation! 🦌 Deer, llamas, and zebras are much gentler. You can feed them by hand. They will stick their heads into the window, acting cute and asking for food. Super adorable~ → I highly recommend bringing disposable gloves! Otherwise, you’ll have a hand full of animal drool. Haha. For some shorter animals, like little ponies and pigs, you can toss some feed on the ground; 🦒 Giraffes are kept in enclosures. You need to park at the visitor center and walk to the fence to feed them. The visitor center sells lettuce leaves, but a box with just a few pieces costs $6. I suggest bringing your own. Kids can feed several boxes and still not be satisfied. When the giraffes stretch out their long necks to eat the leaves, the little ones are all smiles. 🌼 🦘 There are also some smaller animals in enclosures, like kangaroos, flamingos, and gray wolves... Peacocks stroll leisurely on the grass... 📍 Franklin Drive Thru Safari Perfect for a day trip with kids. You don’t even have to get out of the car to get up close and personal with so many animals. I highly recommend it to families with kids or anyone who loves a nature experience. 🧡 #DallasLife #FamilyFunSpots #DocumentingLife #RomanticLifeRecorder
