Dallas Fine Dining Experience at Café Dior by Dominique Crenn
👍During my recent road trip that ended in Dallas, I was on the lookout for newly opened restaurants. I stumbled upon Café Dior, which had just opened its doors. Although this was my first visit to Café Dior, I was already familiar with Chef Dominique Crenn’s cuisine and was confident in the quality of the dining experience. Unfortunately, when I tried to book a reservation a week in advance, I found that all the slots were fully booked. I decided to take a chance and walk in on the day of my visit. ☕️ The first photo is of a rather ordinary latte, which had an average taste. The latte art can be customized or chosen at random. I opted for a surprise from the waiter, and he brought out a rose latte. ☕️ The second photo shows the complimentary warm bread and herb butter that the restaurant provided. The butter had a hint of celery oil, but the flavor was not particularly pronounced. ☕️ The third photo features the Marbella Prawns, which were enhanced by the XO sauce and were particularly suited to local tastes. The prawns were firm and bouncy, and the layer of flavorless cheese underneath was a nice touch. I highly recommend this dish. ☕️ The fourth photo is of the salmon, which the chef recommended to be medium-rare, but it arrived closer to medium. Despite this, the salmon was still crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich, oily aroma. The dish was topped with bright, colorful flowers, showcasing the chef’s personal style. The accompanying French beurre blanc sauce with celery oil can be drizzled over the fish according to personal preference. ☕️ The fifth photo is of the La Colle Noire Chicken, which was incredibly tender. The accompanying potato rosettes were fragrant and delicious. Interestingly, the waiter kept confirming whether I could handle shiso, but the shiso flavor was not very strong. Overall, the dining experience at Café Dior by Dominique Crenn was delightful. The elegant atmosphere, combined with the exquisite presentation of the dishes, made for a memorable meal. The service was attentive, and the attention to detail in both the food and the ambiance was evident throughout the evening.
