Dallas Food | Southlake Tuna Cutting Performance

My friend saw on Instagram that Nikko in Southlake has a live tuna-cutting performance every Thursday, so she invited me to check it out! She made a reservation for 6:15 pm, and we could choose any spot for viewing, haha. 🐟 Live Tuna Cutting Performance: The Instagram post said the performance would start at 6:30 pm, but it actually began at 7:15 pm. The performance lasted about 15 minutes, and they only cut half of the tuna. The 250-lb tuna was swimming in the ocean just two days ago and was delivered to Nikko that very morning! You have to wait until the performance is over and the chef finishes cutting in the back before you can order dishes from the menu. 🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹 Recommended Dishes 1️⃣ Tuna Cheek ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The freshly cut tuna is just amazing! Especially the cheek meat, which becomes crispy and tender after a quick sear. It’s the first time I’ve tried this part of the fish, and it’s delicious! However, the price of $38 for just four pieces is a bit steep. 😂😂 2️⃣ Tuna O-Toro & Chu-Toro ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The fresh O-Toro and Chu-Toro are completely different from the frozen tuna we usually eat! The fatty parts are definitely the best part of the tuna. Where the fat content is high, the meat is the most tender. You have to try the freshly cut version! #FoodieDaily #HearingItsDelicious #AmbianceRestaurant
