Dallas Food Exploration | Yardbird Table & Bar
✅I've heard a lot about Yardbird Table & Bar, and today I finally got to visit. The restaurant is located next to Klyde Warren Park, in the same plaza as PwC and Perry's. I recommend self - parking. After your meal, just ask the front - desk attendant to validate your parking, and it will be free! ✅The interior of the restaurant is quite new. When the weather is nice, sitting on the patio is very Instagram - worthy. This place specializes in Southern food. I haven't had any good Southern food in Dallas yet. I thought Ida Claire was okay, but I wasn't very impressed. And I didn't have high expectations for American - style fried chicken. However, after seeing the creme brulee waffle on Yelp, I knew I had to try it. ❤️ What a divine combination! If you have a sweet tooth, you definitely have to give it a try! Creme Brulee Waffle ( $18 ): The sweetness level is very acceptable ( I usually go for 30% sweetness in my bubble tea ). Neither the cream nor the creme brulee is overly sweet! The waffle seems to be dipped in a bit of strawberry sauce. The texture of the waffle itself is similar to a pancake. It's perfect for sharing with your girlfriends. ❤️ Lewellyn's Fine Fried Chicken ( $33 ): The fried chicken was the most surprising dish! Their classic offering is chicken and waffle ( which includes spiced watermelon ), but since we already had the waffle, we just ordered half a chicken. The chicken skin is crispy, not too floury, and the meat is juicy and full - flavored! If you can handle spicy food, definitely ask the waiter for the honey hot sauce. This sauce is like a combination of Cholula and the spicy sauce from street - side stinky tofu I had when I was a kid. The fried chicken is delicious on its own, but with the spicy sauce, it's a whole different flavor experience! #Dallas cuisine #Food exploration #Brunch
