🍜 Dallas Food Review | A Bit Disappointed by the New Lanzhou Noodle

We visited this newly opened noodle shop over the weekend — the chef is from Lanzhou, and we’d seen quite a few recommendations on Xiaohongshu. We rushed over as soon as they opened! 🏃‍♀️ At first, we were the only customers, and two more tables came in later. We thought the food would come out quickly… but we ended up waiting 40 minutes for all our noodles to arrive. 😑 🍢 Lamb Skewers The flavor was actually pretty good — the spices were on point! But the meat pieces were small, and the portion felt a bit stingy. Not as satisfying as we hoped. 🍜 Xinjiang Stir-Fried Rice Noodles (Mild Spice) The taste was decent, and the spice level was just right for me. But the dish lacked enough veggies, and the sauce was thinner than expected — missing that rich, wok-fried aroma. 🍲 Stir-Fried Beef “Daoxiaomian” (Knife-Cut Noodles) And then came the real letdown — this turned out to be made with instant-style noodles?! 😳 The server explained they hadn’t prepared handmade noodles yet since they’d just opened… but we weren’t told that when ordering. Feels like they’re taking the “easy way out” — maybe okay for customers new to Chinese noodles, but not for those craving authenticity. 👎 Final Thoughts: This visit was a bit of a letdown. The flavors were just okay, but the service and transparency really need improvement. Maybe we’ll come back another time to try their classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup — here’s hoping that bowl can win us over! 🥹 #DallasEats #LanzhouNoodles #NoodleFail #HonestReview #DFWFoodie #ChineseFood #DallasFoodScene #NoMoreInstantNoodles #FoodieUnfiltered
