🤠 Dallas-Fort Worth Cowboy Town 2-Day Trip 🇺🇸

Dallas feels younger compared to cities in the East and South, with a simple, direct, and bold architectural style that matches the Texan cowboy vibe. Besides its art museums and the JFK assassination site, there aren’t many major attractions here. However, the Texas-style beef brisket at Terry Black’s Barbecue is absolutely worth the trip! 🍖 The meat is tender, flavorful, and generously portioned—cooked with special fruitwood for that perfect smoky taste. It’s rugged yet refined! Fort Worth, on the other hand, is full of character. As soon as you arrive, it feels like stepping into the Wild West—straight out of Red Dead Redemption’s New Austin! 🐎 Longhorn Cattle Drive: Happens at 11 AM and 4 PM (highly recommended!). Cowboy Show: At 2 PM. Train Ride: Departs at 3 PM (a bit underwhelming—scenery along the way isn’t particularly exciting). One hidden gem in town is a taxidermy and leather shop 🦡🐆, where you can see specimens of possums, cougars, and various cowhides and goatskins. It instantly brought back memories of hunting and skinning in RDR2! I thought about buying a cowboy hat and boots, but they were pricey (like the beaver hat in the game 😅) and too stiff to wear comfortably—so my cowboy dream will have to wait! 📌 Friendly reminder: Dallas Airport (DFW) is way more chaotic compared to East Coast airports! 🛑✈️ Terminal transfers take forever with no efficient connections. Long lines, limited counters, and some lines are “U.S. citizens only” (very red-state vibe 😬). Arrive at least 1.5 hours early—otherwise, you might miss your flight! #Texas #FortWorth #DallasDayTrip #USHiddenGems #Dallas #CowboyCulture #TravelTips 🤠🐂
