Dallas Hidden Gem: Prairie Creek Park

🍓I want to share a hidden treasure in Dallas—a small park with a beautiful waterfall. It’s located near UTD (University of Texas at Dallas) and surrounded by a quiet residential area. Parking is free and available right by the roadside. The park itself isn’t very large; it takes about half an hour to walk around, including stops to enjoy the scenery. You can actually walk over the waterfall, which makes for some great photo opportunities. 🍂The park has a high tree cover, and because it’s near a water source, the trees are quite tall. They provide plenty of shade, so you won’t get too hot and tired from the sun. One highlight is that after you exit near the waterfall, across the street, you’ll see a stunning garden home. The house itself is pretty ordinary, but the garden in front is absolutely captivating. The owner has planted an abundance of peonies in various colors, along with roses, irises, and other flowers typically suited to cooler climates. It’s truly a sight to behold. 🍁It's a great spot for taking photos, taking a leisurely walk, and even fishing. There are many squirrels in the trees, and you might even spot a beaver. The road next to the park has been under construction for over a year and still isn't finished. I spent a good amount of time walking around their garden, taking lots of photos. The flowers are just breathtaking! #DallasLife #LifeInNorthAmerica #StreamsAndRivers #HikingAndWaterways #FreeOutdoorAdventures #DallasParks
