🏭 Dallas Hotel | An Unexpected Industrial-Style Fortress

I didn’t really see Dallas as a tourist destination — especially since my actual destination was Frisco, an area not typically frequented by visitors. But when I stumbled upon NYLO, a hotel filled with industrial design elements, I couldn’t help but feel a little excited. 🏗️ Industrial Vibe from the Get-Go From the moment I stepped inside, I was surrounded by raw concrete and exposed piping across the ceilings. While industrial style has been trending for years (and some may say it’s becoming outdated), it’s rare to find a hotel that commits this fully to the aesthetic. 🛏️ The Room: Minimalist & Mood-Driven As a mid-range hotel, the room layout wasn’t groundbreaking — but the concrete and brick walls set it apart from other budget-friendly chain hotels. At least it felt more intentional than those places that just hang a painting and call it a “design hotel.” Carpet choice elevated the overall texture of the space 🧡 Compact bathroom with Crabtree & Evelyn amenities — think of it as the industrial version of a DoubleTree 💳 Diamond Member Perks Two bottled waters $15 credit per person — just enough to cover the breakfast buffet No frills beyond that, but at just over $100/night, it’s fair 🧐 Behind the Brand Did some digging: one of the hotel partners is a former Starwood exec who helped build the W Hotels brand; the other owns a design firm known for nightclub projects. At its peak, NYLO had 5 locations across the U.S. It’s now part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection — their most independent and entry-level soft brand. 🎯 Final Take You get what you pay for — interesting, but not mind-blowing. Worth a stay if you happen to be passing through Plano or Frisco and want something different. #DallasTravel #IndustrialDesign #TapestryCollection #HotelReview
