Dallas Marathon – Bib Pickup Day! 🏃‍♂️🏙️

Today was bib pickup for Sunday’s Dallas Marathon, held at the Dallas Convention Center downtown. I have to say — the organizers have been pretty generous this time! After running a half marathon in Portland where I barely got more than my race number, it’s refreshing to see some real thought put into the runner’s experience. The pickup was smooth, the venue well-organized, and the swag bag actually had some nice local treats and useful gear inside. 🧾 What You Get ✅ Race bib with timing chip ✅ Quality event T-shirt ✅ Drawstring bag filled with samples, snacks, and sponsor goodies ✅ Clear race instructions and course map It’s small things like these that make a big race feel special. 🏅 My First Full Marathon – Here We Go! This will be my first-ever full marathon, and the mix of excitement and nerves is real. From training through Texas heat and cool fall mornings to finally standing at the start line — it’s been a journey. Why run 26.2 miles? Because YOLO — you only live once, and I’d rather spend some of that time challenging myself, feeling alive, and crossing finish lines I once thought were impossible. 💡 Tips for Race Weekend Hydrate well starting now — don’t wait until Sunday. Plan your logistics — parking, gear check, meeting points. Trust your training — the hard work is done. Race day is about heart and joy. Soak it all in — the crowds, the music, the shared energy with thousands of other runners. 🏙️ Why Dallas is a Great Marathon City The course takes you through downtown, historic neighborhoods, and along tree-lined boulevards — a real tour of the city on foot. The community support here is strong, with locals cheering you on almost every step of the way. 📣 A Note to All Runners Whether it’s your first marathon or your 50th — you’ve already won by getting to the start line. Sunday isn’t just about the finish; it’s about every step in between, every breath, every moment you choose to keep going. See you on the course! Let’s make memories and make it count. 🏃‍♀️💨 #DallasMarathon #MarathonTraining #RaceDayReady #FirstMarathon #RunDallas #YOLO
