🌟 Dallas New MICHELIN Star | Mamani – A French Culinary Gem

When we heard Dallas welcomed a one-star Michelin French restaurant, we grabbed a last-minute 9:30 PM reservation after work on Wednesday — perfect for a late-night "star-chasing" adventure! 🌙✨ We parked nearby and walked less than a minute to the restaurant. Upon arrival, there was no table ready yet, but we got a sneak peek of the chefs hustling in the open kitchen. After a short 5–10 minute wait, we were seated and ready to indulge. We ordered four courses + two drinks, totaling around $300 with tip. Each dish was beautifully layered in flavor — we leaned toward tangy profiles that felt light and refreshing. We’ll definitely be back! 🍴 Course-by-Course Breakdown: 🧀 Bites: Croquettes Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside — these croquettes are filled with salty, smoky Benton ham from Tennessee and Manchego cheese. Rich, nutty, and undeniably cheesy… but be warned — the distinct goat cheese flavor might not be for everyone. 🐚 Starters: Scallop & Caviar Featuring Hokkaido scallop and golden Osetra caviar, topped with a sprig of tarragon. The lime-horseradish sauce adds a bright, tangy kick. The scallop is buttery-sweet, the caviar luxuriously salty, and the tarragon (which tastes like mild fennel) ties it all together. A beautifully balanced dish — though skip if you dislike anise-like flavors. 🐟 To Share: Wild Dover Sole Pan-seared in brown butter and finished with Meyer lemon — delicate, tender, and not at all fishy. The citrus cuts through the richness, leaving just the aroma. A safe and stellar pick! 🧂 Fun fact: Dover sole is a premium European flatfish. What’s often sold as "sole" in the U.S. is actually swai or basa — a type of catfish. Also, Meyer lemons (aka Beijing lemons) are sweeter and less acidic than regular lemons! 🍌 Dessert: Parfait Layers of caramelized banana cream and passionfruit foam, topped with lime zest and toasted coconut. Smooth, not too sweet — the ultimate Chinese compliment! 🍃 💬 Final Thoughts: A refined yet relaxed Michelin experience. Memorable flavors, elegant presentation, and knowledgeable service. Really hoping they don’t raise prices — can’t wait to go back and try the roasted duck! 🦆 📌 Mamani 📍 Dallas, TX 🍷 Perfect for special nights & flavor explorers #MichelinStar #FrenchCuisine #DallasFineDining #MamaniExperience #FoodieReview
