Dallas Omakase Experience

🍗I've been craving sushi lately, so I decided to try this new Omakase place and brought my mom along. The restaurant is simply called Sushi Bar. It has only 12 seats, and the price is $165 per person for an 18-course meal. This Omakase is known for its unconventional approach, incorporating some Texas and Korean elements. The flavors are quite surprising and delightful. 🐌All 18 courses are sushi, with no soups or other fillers, which I think is worth the price. There are three chefs, two of whom are Korean, and they chat with the guests throughout the meal, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The fish is also very fresh. 🦪Before we were seated, the waitress asked if we wanted any add-ons, which are pre-selected options. I personally recommend adding foie gras to the toro. Their foie gras is house-cured, then frozen and finally "shaved" onto the toro. It has a very delicate texture and is highly recommended! The A5 Wagyu is also excellent. The ebi (shrimp), sawara (Spanish mackerel), and the final course of eel are my favorites, especially the eel, which is an unexpected but great combination! The dessert brought back childhood memories. They used an old-fashioned ice shaver to create coconut milk with ice cream. My mom, who usually doesn't eat cold things, finished the entire dessert. 🥩After the meal, there's a bar right next door. Since I'm trying to get pregnant, I didn't go for a drink. Although I was tempted, I held back. The vibe there is perfect for a date night. #AmbianceRestaurant #DallasLife
